Preparation For Bed Bug Treatment

To prepare for your bed bug treatment, please follow these important steps:

1. Declutter

Remove as much clutter as possible, especially from under beds, bedroom floors, and around couches and recliners.

2. Remove Covers

Take all covers off the box springs and mattresses. Although bed bug covers will no longer be needed, you can put them back on after treatment. Remove any covers from chairs, couches, and recliners; make sure they are washed before putting them back on the furniture.

3. Launder Dirty Fabrics

Take all dirty bed clothes, clothing, and pillows that you sleep on to the laundry room. Wash and dry them at the highest setting possible.

4. Vacuum

Thoroughly vacuum all carpets, rugs, and upholstery in the affected areas. Pay special attention to seams, cracks, and crevices where bed bugs may hide.

5. Clear Closet Floors

Empty the floors of closets in the affected rooms to ensure a complete treatment.

6. Move Mattresses

Remove all mattresses and box springs from their frames. This allows for thorough inspection and treatment of the bed frame itself.
