Bed bugs will only feed on blood and will find blood meals to mature and reproduce. Bed bug populations will feed on humans and are most active usually between 11:00pm and 5:00am in the morning. They will reproduce faster with humans that spend more time in beds like ambulatory and the elderly. It is a common belief that bed bugs will not feed during daylight hours or under bright lights, that is a myth and will not discourage them from feeding.

WHAT DO BED BUG BITES LOOK LIKE

1. Swollen, red areas and may look like hives and welts.

2. Multiple bites in groups that may appear in lines and clusters.
