Alcohol was not engineered to kill bed bugs but will have a heavy impact on bed bug populations and make them move deeper into the furniture or onto floors and walls where they will be hard to find and to eradicate. Once the alcohol dries it will have no residual like general insecticides that has some basic residual, so it is better to use a general use insecticide, but it will not effectively lower the bed bug populations.
