The whole world has a bed bug problem and you are not alone. They can be found in hospitals, theaters, cruise ships, hotels, resorts, shelters, buses, and planes. Bed Bug eggs are small, white, and shaped like rice. The nymphs (young) are beige in color and they look like large splinter with legs, if you magnify them you will see the legs. Adults are reddish brown and oval shaped and much easier to see with the naked eye. Bed Bugs do not fly but will move rapidly over surfaces and walls. Bed bugs will mature in a month and will live 9 to 12 months. Adults are easier to see than nymphs and are much larger after feeding.

WHERE DO I FIND THEM?

Bed Bugs can be found where they feed, near areas where humans sleep and rest. They are attracted to your upper body heat and carbon dioxide, that means they can be found in groups at the upper part of the mattresses, box springs, and headboards. Unfortunately they will be difficult to find in the maturation stages. To get a positive identification on bed bugs it is best to contact the professionals at HI-TECH PEST CONTROL (248) 569-8001.
